Medved 5K to Cure ALS Recap
Largest Turnout in Race History
Thank you to everyone who came out to this year's Medved 5K to Cure ALS on Sunday June 20th. We had approximately 700 registered for the 5K and close to 100 for the 1 Mile Walk/Youth Run, making this year our largest crowd yet.
This year we introduced a new race course, which took the participants from in front of Frontier Field, towards the soccer stadium and eventually headed over to State Street. From State Street the course continued onto Main Street and then to Plymouth before finishing inside Frontier Field in front of the third base dugout.
Our men's champion was Michael Pierce from Minoa, NY who had a time of 14:58, followed by former Syracuse Orange runner Jeff Scull (15:00) and a two time champion of this race Mark Andrews (15:03).
Our female champion was Laurel Burdick (16:52), followed by Maegen Krifchin (17:14) and Emily LaSalla (17:18).
The top Father/Son team was Jim and Corey Robinson, while Russ and Shelby Herman were the top Father/Daughter.
We would like to acknowledge our race sponsors both individuals who raised/donated over $250 to our beneficiary organization ALS-TDI and our vendor partners:
